Shipping to Northern Ireland
Shipping to Northern Ireland – Important Information for Business Customers
As part of the UK’s post-Brexit trading arrangements, new rules apply when sending goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. These are governed by the Windsor Framework, which affects how business-to-business (B2B) shipments are handled.
To help ensure smooth delivery and full transparency, please take a moment to review the key information below.
⚠️ EORI Number Required
If you are a business customer in Northern Ireland, we will ask you to provide an EORI number starting with ‘XI’. This is required for customs purposes and helps ensure your shipment complies with current HMRC and EU requirements.
If you're unsure whether you have an XI EORI number, you can check or apply via HMRC’s EORI service.
❗ We Are Not UK Internal Market Scheme (UKIMS) Registered
At present, we are not authorised under the UK Internal Market Scheme (UKIMS). This means that some goods shipped to NI may be classed as ‘at risk’ of entering the EU and could therefore be subject to EU customs duties.
While many items sent to Northern Ireland are delivered without issue, we cannot guarantee that import VAT or duties will not be applied, particularly for:
- Business deliveries to NI addresses
- Goods intended for onward supply to the Republic of Ireland or elsewhere in the EU
✅ What This Means for You
If you're a private individual ordering for personal use in NI:
➤ No action is usually needed, and your parcel should be delivered as normal.
If you're a business in Northern Ireland:
➤ Please be prepared to provide your XI EORI number, and be aware that customs charges may apply unless you are UKIMS-authorised and can declare the goods are for final use in NI.
